H. Maragkos, Chairman of CSI Hellas, visited San Francisco last December to meet Prof. Ashraf Habibullah Chairman and CEO of CSI America. The meeting took place in the head office of CSI at Berkeley, where the two men had the opportunity under a friendly and familiar environment, to discuss the details of their collaboration, as well as the tendencies in the software development for the Civil Engineer market, globally.

The main objective of the meeting was the expansion in the collaboration between the two firms. The Chairman of CSI Berkeley Prof. Ashraf Habibullah had the opportunity to try the new software of CSI Hellas, EC Praxis. The comments from the trial were very encouraging for the enormous capabilities that the software offers as an independent design package using Eurocodes as well as Add on that extracts results from ETABS and SAP2000 in the near future.

The result was the recognition of EC Praxis from CSI Berkeley, as a complete and easy to use software that functions as Add on with the CSI software (ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000 etc). CSI Hellas has the exclusive commercial rights of EC Praxis for the global market and will continue to be representative for the programs of CSI in Greece and Cyprus.

By the distribution of EC Praxis, CSI Hellas gets a leading role in the European design and construction market. Main objective is the software sales in the European countries via the internet (e - commerce). For the even more closely collaboration of two companies, CSI Hellas - CSI, the Chairman of CSI Prof. Ashraf Habibullah will visit Greece on April 2008, , and he will participate in the congress of CSI Hellas that will take place during that period, and will constitute the official speaker of the Congress.
